Lester Smith

Lester Kenneth Smith, 62, of Orange, passed away in Beaumont, Sunday, June 5. Services will be held at Dorman Funeral Home, Wednesday, June 8, at 10:00 am, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn in Orange. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7, from 5:00-9:00 PM at Dorman Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born Sept. 24, 1953 in Orange, to the late Leatrice Joy Sanders and George Leon Smith and remained a lifelong resident of the Orange area. He worked for many years at International Paper in Orange as an operator. When Kenneth wasn’t at work, he loved to spend time fishing, playing his guitar and singing karaoke, and traveling with his wife, Lilly Smith.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Tammy Smith.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Lilly Smith; two step-daughters, Becky Underhill and Charlotte Moses; three step-sons, Joe Rhodes, Webb Rhodes and Brandon Rhodes; sister, Linda Jones; brother, Larry Smith; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
