CAPTURED - Roy lee Bosier added to Texas most wanted list

UPDATE - Roy Lee Bosier, 55, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being captured on June 23 in Houston. Bosier, a high-risk sex offender, was wanted for parole violation and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. The arrest was the result of tip information, and a reward up to $3,000 will be paid.

Working off tip information, the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, assisted by the Houston Metro Police Department, located and arrested Bosier without incident in north Houston. (His last known address also was in Houston.)

PREVIOUS REPORT - The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added Roy Lee Bosier, 55, to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list, and a cash reward up to $3,000 is now being offered for information leading to his capture. Bosier is a high-risk sex offender wanted for parole violation and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

Bosier’s last known address was in Houston, and he has ties to the city. In 1979, he was convicted in a Robertson County rape case involving a 17-year-old girl. In 1987, Bosier was convicted of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and received a 99-year prison sentence. Bosier was paroled in December 2012; and in June 2015, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for Bosier’s arrest for parole violation. Bosier is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 225 pounds. He has tattoos on his chest and both arms. He has work experience in construction and landscaping; and he may be known as “Dee Dee.”

Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.

DPS investigators work with local law enforcement agencies to select fugitives for the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive and Sex Offender lists. You can find the current lists – with photos – on the DPS website at http://www.dps.texas.gov/texas10mostwanted/.

Do not attempt to apprehend these fugitives; they are considered armed and dangerous.
