The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Student of the Month for Bridge City High School is Kendall Gibson. Kendall was presented her certificate and gift bag by Chamber Ambassador and Director Lucy Fields at the Sept. 13 coffee hosted by Complete Staffing.
She received gift certificates and gifts from several local merchants.
Kendall is the daughter of Sara Gibson and Kim McKinney. She has a GPA of 4.82 and is ranked 1 of 171. Kendall’s awards and honors include People to People International 2010; Junior National Young Leadership Conference 2011-2012; Duke TIP Talent Search 2012 and many other awards.
Kendall’s clubs and organizations include: Band, Area Qualifier, head drum major and assistant drum major; UIL; student council; National Honor Society; Spanish and Chess clubs; Fellowship of Christian Athletes and speech and debate. In community service, Kendall has volunteered at the Salvation Army, Eagle Scout Project Volunteer and a local soup kitchen.
When asked about her plans, Kendall stated she would like to attend a university in Texas, pursuing a major in Biomedical Engineering and enter the work force in the medical research field.
