The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Bridge City Public Library has been named Member of the Month for January 2017. Librarian Mary Montgomery and Assistant K’Lynn Borg accepted the award, sponsored by Sabine River Ford, from Ambassador Denisha Keszeg of Sabine River Ford, at the January Networking Coffee hosted by Orangefield ISD at the Cormier Museum. The Bridge City Public Library received gifts from Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Bridge City, Sabine Federal Credit Union, Mary Kelone of Barefoot Souls, Complete Staffing, and Neches Federal Credit Union.
The Bridge City Public Library system is located at 101 Parkside Drive and provides free services to all residents living within the state of Texas.
The library collection includes books, large print books, books on cd, magazines, DVDs, and eBooks to download to your reading device.
The Library also offers a summertime reading program and the “Fledglings Storytime” program for preschoolers.
The Library recently expanded from 2500 square feet to over 5000 square feet and still working on further construction of a meeting room.
The Library is currently selling “The History of Prairie View/Bridge City” books, written by Citizen of the Year Charlotte Chiasson, with all proceeds going to improvements for the Library.
They will also hold a garage sale fundraiser on April 1, 2017 and are accepting all donations except clothing.
