LCMCISD names Fisher new board member

Little Cypress-Mauriceville schools Monday night named Josh Fisher to serve as school board member.

Fisher, a service manager for AWC Valves, finished second to Dr. Chris Riedel with 44 percent of the vote in May’s election for Place 6 on the board.

He will be filling the unexpired term of Kevin Abernathy, who was a landslide winner of Place 2 in 2017.

Abernathy cited personal reasons for stepping down.
