Sharon Piggott Segura, 69, of Bridge City, passed away at home peacefully on May 13, 2020.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2020, at First Baptist Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Keith Royal. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Everyone is welcome in joining the family as they remember the beautiful life of Sharon.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service, at First Baptist Church in Bridge City.
Sharon was born in Port Arthur, Texas on October 20, 1950, to Mildred and Terrell Piggott. In healthier years Sharon loved working outside and was a Master Gardener. She was a cheerleader for the Bridge City '66 State Champion Football Team. The highlight of her life was raising two wonderful children. Before falling sick, she was also a very dedicated Pro-life worker. Sharon was a devout Christian and member of First Baptist Church-Bridge City.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and oldest brother Johnny Piggott.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of forty-eight years, Darrell Segura; children Misty Segura Roberts and husband Steven of Houston, and Mark Segura and wife Christina of Bridge City; grandchildren David De La O and Caelum Segura. Siblings are Sandra Little of Bridge City, Linda and John Carter of Hemphill, and David and Lynda Piggott of Bridge City. She is also survived by her constant companion, Ranger the Wonder Dog.
Pallbearers are Charles Hartman, Jim Flowers, Steven Roberts, Tracy Addison, Dwayne Duncan, and David De La O.
The family would like to thank and recognize the many who have reached out with food and condolences in memory of Sharon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given in Sharon's memory to First Baptist Church-Bridge City at 200 West Roundbunch Rd., Bridge City, TX 77611.
