Danny Lynn Campbell, 76, Orange

On Friday June 18, 2021, my beloved husband, Danny Lynn Campbell entered into the eternal Kingdom of God. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Murry Ray, pastor of First United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City. Burial will be officiated by Deacon Melvin Payne, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Orange. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. Born in Noble, Louisiana on January 23, 1945, Danny was the son of Robert Rollins Campbell and Marie O’Dell Pugh Campbell. Danny graduated from Converse High School, Converse, Louisiana in 1964. Danny served in the U.S. Army 1966 – 1968. After discharged from the Army, Danny moved to Orange to begin his career at Dupont in 1969. He retired from Dupont after 33 years.

Danny found joy in anything he did. He loved spending time with his family, and always looked forward to any get-togethers. He enjoyed being at the lake fishing with family, deer hunting with his sons and brothers, being out on his farm feeding his cows and riding or working on his tractor. Danny was a jack-of-all trades.He was a kind, generous, humble, hard-working man. He would help anyone who was in need. He was a wonderful husband, a loving, supportive father, and a true family man. He will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Rollins Campbell and Marie O’Dell Pugh Campbell; his daughter, Michelle Renee Campbell; his siblings, Tommy Campbell, Leon Campbell, Lota Kyle, Margie Goldston, James Campbell, and Doyle Campbell. Danny is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Charmaine Dupree Campbell; his sons, Marshall (Tarah) Campbell and Marcus (Lauren) Campbell; his brothers, Larry (Margie) Campbell of Roberts, LA, Jerry Wayne (Dewanna) Campbell of Kountze, TX, Norman (Jan) Campbell of Bridge City, TX; sister-in-law, Margie Campbell; his grandchildren, Kane, Hudson, Myles, Noah, Maddox, Laylah, and Maverick; his great-grandchild, Rafe. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Dupree, Jed Dupree, Tyler Dupree, Kane Vice, Josh Campbell, Jeremy Campbell, Carlton Campbell, Lynn Campbell.
