Sheral Preston Kay, 79, of Bridge City, passed away on September 20, 2021, in Beaumont. Born on November 17, 1941, he was the son of Solomon Kay and Margaret (Scoggins) Kay. Sheral served bravely in the United States Marine Corps. In addition to being a member of the Pipefitters Union Local 195, he owned Kay's Auto Repair. He adored his family more than anything in the world, and would go above and beyond to provide for them. Sheral could often be found telling stories about the old days or working on a crossword puzzle. He enjoyed sports, especially Nascar, but dabbled in baseball and football as well. Sheral's family will always remember him for his golden heart and diligent work ethic, but most importantly that he was the best man they knew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Solomon and Margaret Kay; and loving wife, Sue Kay. He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Monceaux and husband Jeffrey of Bridge City, Jeanie Rhea and husband Steve of DeRidder, Louisiana, Jill Sons and husband John of Sulphur, Louisiana and Donna Clawson and husband Steve of Big Lake, Louisiana; grandchildren, Troy Sons, Lored Brouillette, Michael Rhea, Steven Sons, Carly Gintz, Cale Brouillette, Kyle Kresser, Kasey Monceaux, and Bailee Monceaux; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother, Jarrell Kay and wife Shirley. Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
