OFJH District Cross Country Meet at Claiborne Park

This past weekend, our OJH Bobcats competed in the District Cross Country Meet at Claiborne Park. The Lady Bobcats were led by Christa Kyle, who was able to snag a medal in the ninth place slot.  Strong performances from Braylie Moore, Tyia McKnight, Mollie Meyer, Johanna Lieby, and Maddison Trammell led the Lady Bobcats to a third-place finish in the district. Awesome job girls!

The OJH boys were up next, and they were ready to compete for the district title. Seventh-grader, Rylan Agerton, led the way for the Bobcats, taking second place overall as an individual. We didn't have to wait long for the next two Bobcats to cross the line as Rylan McAlpin and Carson Worthy took home the third and fourth place medals, respectively, to set up a great chance at the district title. We had strong runs from our other runners Jackson Greiner, Gavin Gravett, and Gunnar Griffin. At the end of the day, the Bobcats fell just short of taking down an army of Vidor Pirates for the title of district champions, but they were able to finish second to cap off a great season. We couldn't be more proud of these runners!
