OJH Volleyball at LC-M 10/11/21

Monday, our Lady Bobcats traveled to Little Cypress to take on the Lady Cubs. We had a phenomenal fanbase and appreciate all the encouragement brought by our Bobcat Family! The 7th-grade B-team started off the night with Jaelyn Leibold dominating the service line, delivering nine straight points to put the Cubs on their heels. Our Bobcats kept the pressure on them with the help of Kyleigh Sowell, who had great attacks, as well. Lainey Maricle, with her serves and successful back row attacks, proved to be too much for the Cubs to handle. The first win of the night was taken in just two sets!

The 8th-grade B-team had multiple standouts in their battle! Gabby White led in serves with six aces and 17 total points. Brooklyn Wagoner had a great showing at the net with 12 attacks! Jordan Bass and Kendall Sullivan tallied two kills each and helped seal the win with a third set score of 13-15. The 7th grade A-team continued their undefeated district play, taking the match in three sets. The first set had highlights which included Mikayla Locke knocking down attacks from all over the court that secured the 25-23 win. In the second set, Madison McCormack led in serves. It came down to the third set to decide the winner. Locke took to the service line, determined to start us off strong, and with eight straight points- she did just that. Our Bobcats never looked back as they stomped the Cubs 25-15 to remain undefeated in district! The 8th-grade A-team had the tightest competition of the night, with back and forth action all match. Our Bobcats took the first set in an exciting fashion with Charlee Sanches and Hallee Becker leading the way in attacks. Jaydin Agerton acted as lead server. The second and third sets were just as intense, but the Lady Cats would be edged out 20-25 and 13-25 to give the Cubs the win.
