Lauren “Laur” “Laur” Grace Brinkley, 19, of Bridge City, passed away on December 21, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Born in Nederland, Texas, on February 15, 2002, she was the daughter of Landon Brinkley and Jiam (McAbee) Brinkley. Lauren had an outgoing and artistic soul. She enjoyed everything from painting, identifying plants in the woods, and going to the gun range with the men in her family especially her brother, Tyler. There was never a dull moment with Lauren in the room and her sense of humor kept everyone laughing. Lauren loved animals and could always be found with the radio up listening to her favorite music. She left an impact on many lives in her short time here on earth and will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Claire Brinkley; aunt, Pearl Gilbert, and uncle, David Lute. She is survived by her father, Landon Brinkley of Orange; mother, Jiam Brinkley of Bridge City; grandparents, Jim and Debbie McAbee of Bridge City and L.C. Brinkley of Gardner, Louisiana; uncles, Matt McAbee and Gary McAbee; aunts, Rhonda Castilo, Tammy Brinkley, and Samantha Brinkley; brother, Tyler Brinkley and fiancé Hailey Holden of Orange; and numerous other loving cousins, family, and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Brinkley, Dalton, Dustin, James, Colt, and Chance McAbee. Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
