Jean Barnhart, 85, Beaumont

Jean Barnhart, 85, of Beaumont, passed away on December 27, 2021.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn.

Visitation will be at 1:00pm, Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Jennings, Louisiana on August 27, 1936, she was the daughter of Felicia Comeaux Bergeaux. She was a dedicated member of Serenity Oaks Church in Vidor for many years. She loved her church, word searches, and talking on the phone with friends and family. She loved her family very much and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Felicia Bergeaux; her husband, Winford Ray Barnhart; and her siblings, Dorothy Jeanise, Eula Mae Lavergne, Maften Bergeaux, Roy Bergeaux, Wilfred Bergeaux, Elray Bergeaux and Ivan Bergeaux.

She is survived by her children, Jeanna Eaves and spouse Jessie of Buna, and Debbie West of Beaumont; her grandchildren, Misty Peveto and husband Daniel Splinter, Megan Peveto and husband Jason Sherrell, and Joshua Eaves; and her great-grandchildren, Harper Grace, Olivia, Case Lane Eaves, and Colt Eaves; her sisters-in-law, Nora Bergeaux and Audrey Seago; among numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dorman Eaves, Jessie Eaves, Travis Eaves, Tony DeMary, Dusty Eaves and Delvin Seago. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth LaVergne and Gerald Peveto.
