Raymond Lee Campbell, 78, of Bridge City, passed away on February 2, 2022, in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Cremation will follow services.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Zwolle, Louisiana, on October 17, 1943, he was the son of Robert Lee Campbell and Catherine N. Campbell. After being given 6 months to live in 1992 after suffering a stroke, Raymond defied all odds and lived another 30 years. During his time on Earth he impacted many lived with his faith in God and fighter spirit. His trust in his Lord and Savior carried him through all of life’s tribulations. Raymond always stayed busy and loved working on cars. On Sunday’s he could always be seen crossing Texas Avenue in his wheelchair dressed up and carrying his American Flag. Raymond will be deeply missed by all those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Campbell; and parents, Robert and Catherine Campbell.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Mitchell and Brenda Campbell and husband Preston Ratley, all of Bridge City; grandchildren, James Campbell, Brandi Wilson and Sailor Wilson; great-grandchildren, Gavin Lionheart Campbell and Renesamae Dawn Campbell; siblings, Glen Campbell of Orange, Buddy Campbell of Orange, Donnie Campbell of Orange and Kathy Jones of Orange.
