Chris Joyner, 54

Chris Joyner died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, February 14.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2022, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.

He was the oldest son of Henry and Chrissie Joyner of Beaumont. Chris had one child, his daughter Samantha Sloane Joyner Odom of Bridge City, and her husband, Dustin Odom plus bonus granddaughter Emma Odom, granddaughters Paisley Payne and Callie Odom, and grandson Carter Odom. They were his life.

He was born on August 4, 1967 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He spent his school years in Shreveport, Baton Rouge, LA., Falls Church, VA., and Beaumont. He was predeceased by his grandparents Troy and Dorothy Joyner and James and Maxine Coody, all of Shreveport.

He is survived by his daughter, his parents, his brothers Kevin and his wife Shea and Troy Joyner and his wife Jennifer, nieces and nephews Zachary, Gabriel and Isabel. He leaves behind Andrew and Anna and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.

Chris spent many years sharing his knowledge of tropical fish and corals. He was currently associated with Aeurro Vacuums Sales & Services where his fix-it ability was valuable to his employers and customers.

He loved his family, fishing, LSU, plants, animals, and cooking, but especially his grands.

He has left us too soon but we know he will always be in our hearts.

Chris loved all things LSU and was a faithful fan through good and bad times.
