Larry Fowler, 75, of Buna, passed away on February 18, 2022, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Februry 23, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Damon Bickham. Burial will follow at Ford Chapel Cemetery in Newton County.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Jasper, Texas, on August 22, 1946, he was the son of Bronson Fowler and Alma Jordan Fowler. Larry proudly served in the United States Army, once he returned home, he worked for the city of Orange as a chief operator for a number of years before he retired. He’d often get a cup of coffee with a friend and enjoy each other’s company. Larry absolutely loved gardening, he would pick, can, freeze and give his produce away to family. He always enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was hunting or just “piddling” around as he’d call it. Larry will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by parents, Bronson and Alma Fowler; and his brother, Fred Fowler.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Fowler; his daughter, Deann Fowler-Gaspard of Bridge City and granddaughter, Belle Gaspard of Bridge City; stepson, Corky Windham and wife Nikki of Bon Weir; stepdaughter, Mona Vincent and husband Tim of Orange; grandchildren, Ashley Windham, LaToshia McKinney, Bobby Windham, Luke Windham, Amanda Swindell, and Timothy Vincent; his eight great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Lois Price of Newton, Libby Fowler of Newton, and Bo Fowler of Lumberton.
