Robert Alan Smith, 56, Beaumont

Robert Alan Smith, 56, of Beaumont, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Ray McNames of Grace Church in Lumberton and Brother David Millner of Orange. Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas on January 27, 1966, he was the son of Andy D. Smith and Julia A. Smith. He graduated from Vidor High School in 1984. Robert was a member of Grace Church in Lumberton. He loved his dog Kizzy, and his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by Dad, Andy D. Smith, his sister, Andrea D. Smith, his grandparents, Marcos Sr. and Cenovia Abrego, and Russell and Lois Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years, Kim Bridges Smith; his mother, Julia Abrego Smith; his children, Michelle Smith and wife Shannon of Mt. Belvieu, Ryan Smith and wife Brooklyn of Las Vegas, Koby Bryant of Beaumont, Joey Jones and wife Chassidy of Bridge City; his grandchildren, Aspyn and Ace Smith, Noah

and Kalie Jones, Austin Hettinger and partner Madison Flores, Alyssa Hettinger, Addilyn Brackett; and great-grandchildren, Pyper Flores, Owen and Oaklee Hettinger.

On behalf of my family, I would like to begin by thanking everyone that is here today and for those who have sent their condolences. We have received countless phone calls, e-mails, texts, flowers, meals, visits, and thoughts and prayers. They have been both comforting during this difficult time and have been a reminder of the impact that Robert had on so many others.
