Janice Lynne Ruiz, 70, of Orange, passed away on March 19, 2022, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Janice was born in Port Arthur, on November 7, 1951, she was the daughter of Joseph and Verna Vincent.
She was a member of Community Church in Orange and a faithful believer in Jesus Christ.
Janice truly enjoyed the friends she made at church and taught bible study, along with her husband and their friend Karl, they owned and operated a
coffee house ministry in the 70's called "One Way Inn." She was a wonderful cook especially the family's favorite, gumbo with okra. Janice was a very creative person and you could always find her doing a craft project or sewing something together. She was heavily involved with the republican party in Orange, she was even Election Judge and Precinct Chair.
Janice could sing and play guitar as well, and would frequently sing praise and worship music, her favorite band being 2nd Chapter of Acts.
Her grandkids called her grandma, and there was nothing in the world that she loved more than them.
She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Verna Vincent; brothers, Duris and Ricky Vincent; and sister, Carol Crochet.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Anthony Eugene Ruiz; children, Jeremy Lucas Ruiz and Abigail Elisabeth Ruiz; grandchildren, Jocelyn Elise Casares and Brendon Jacob Casares; and brothers, Gable Vincent, Jackie Vincent, and Timothy Vincent.
