God has called home a good and faithful servant, Gerald C. Baggett, boldly and proudly wearing the armor of God, he has fought the good fight and his victory is found in Jesus Christ. Although we will miss him all of Heaven is rejoicing.
Gerald passed away at the age of 94 years old, on April 19, 2022. He entered this world on April 6, 1928, born to William and Valah Hope Baggett, in Fenter, AR.
Gerald is survived by his sons, Dennis Baggett and wife Susan and Malcolm Baggett; 2 step-daughters, Robbin Barr and husband Joey and Heidi Matt and husband Randy; grandchildren, Chris Baggett and wife Kristina of Dayton, Jonathan Baggett and wife Angela of Orange; great-grandchildren, Breeana and Maddison Baggett, Zachary and Brynlee Baggett; step-grandchildren, Dustin Barr, Brooke Barr Ward and husband Mark, Christopher
McDaniel and wife Rachael, and Paul Matt and wife Angela; step-great-grandchildren, Jacob, Caleigh, Asher and Levi McDaniel, Kaylin Barr, Wyatt and Addison Ward; 2 brothers, Jim Baggett and wife Carol and Darrell Baggett; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gerald is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Evangeline Mayes Baggett; father, William Silas Baggett; mother, Valah Hope Baggett; 2 sons, Terry L. Baggett and Gerald Glynn Baggett; 2nd wife, Dorothy Simmons Baggett; daughter-in-law, Patricia & Pat Baggett; 2 brothers, Clayton Baggett and wife Gladys and Sherrell Baggett and wife Thelma; and 2 sisters, Marjorie Baggett Cathcart and husband Leonard and Marilyn Baggett Wallis and husband Donald.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Baggett, Jonathan Baggett, Zachary Baggett, Billy Roach, Dustin Barr, and Wyatt Ward.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Monday, April 25, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend David Millner and Reverend EJ Didon.
The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
