Phillip Wayne Beard, 69, of Vidor, passed away on April 19, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend James Burkart.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Born in Orange, Texas, on July 22, 1952, he was the son of Marion C. Beard and Joyce Marie Davis. Phillip enjoyed fishing and going to the casino which he always seemed to get lucky when playing the slot machines. He liked watching the horse races, playing cards and was known to always have scatch off tickets. Phillip’s biggest love were his grandkids who called him Paw Paw, he could always be found at any of their sporting events cheering
them on. Phillip was always a very loving husband and father, he will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Beard and Joyce Davis; and nephew, Jason Beard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Angela Beard; children, Kristopher Beard and Mallory Jameson of Bridge City, Kelsey Whitworth and Cody of Vidor; grandchildren, Korbyn, Leightyn, Talan, Jordan, Hillary, Dylan; siblings, Jeanette McKee and Jimmy of Bridge City, Marion Beard, Jr. and Sandra of Granbury, Texas; nieces and nephews, Courtney Beard and Jeff, Paige Bigler and Darren, and Shane LeLeaux and Eryn.
