Prentice Dillard, 92, of Orange, passed away on May 28, 2022 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., May 31, 2022 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Hemphill, Texas on November 25, 1929, he was the son of William Franklin Dillard and Mary Berta Tilley.
Prentice was a family man and he never met a stranger. He worked and retired from American Bridge after 32 years, then went to work in construction as a boiler maker for 10 years. Prentice loved to hunt, fish, and make sure his lawn looked great at all times.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 64 years, Betty Jo Dillard.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Dillard; children, Ramona Perry and husband Roger, Mike Dillard and wife Carol, and Randy Dillard and wife Nan; as well as 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 on the way.
