Orange County Republican Party Fourth of July celebration

The Orange County Republican Party will have a Fourth of July celebration in Vidor featuring U.S Representative Randy Weber, music and a fireworks show.

The free event is sponsored by local businesses and will begin at 7 p.m. at the Maplecrest Baptist Church. Weber, a Republican, represents the

15th District of Texas. Recent state redistricting has placed Orange County in the 15th District rather than District 36.

The Lone Star Winds, a Vidor-based woodwind group, will perform under the dierection of Jacob McWherter. Also appearing with be Dr. Rick Scarborough of Recover America, a group that pushes for Biblical solutions to problems.

The program will be indoors and then fireworks outside after dark.
