COVID-19 numbers are steadily rising in Orange County, though hospitalizations are low.
Joel Ardoin, emergency management coordinator for the county, told Commissioners Court Tuesday that Orange County had recorded 234 new cases of COVID-19.
Of those, 24 were confirmed and 210 probable, with six patients hospitalized. Five of those had been vaccinated.
At the Commissioners’ last meeting, June 28, Ardoin reported 112 new cases, 19 of which were confirmed, with three hospitalizations, one of which was previously vaccinated.
On June 14, the count was 48 new cases with none hospitalized.
