Margaret Mary Dyer, 70, of Orange, passed away on September 3, 2022, in Vidor.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 9, at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Father Michael Strother. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on July 18, 1952, she was the daughter of Chester Leroy Britton, Sr. and Nelma (Thibodeaux) Hightower.
Margaret was a graduate of St. Mary Catholic School. She was employed with Dupont for 28 years as a planner and instrument mechanic. Margaret enjoyed traveling, cooking, and most of all spending time with her beloved family. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and loved hosting gatherings with friends.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester Britton, Sr. and Nelma Thibodeaux Hightower; and daughter, Emma Renee Dyer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Alan Dyer; children, Cassandra Lippmann and husband Lance, Micah Dyer and wife Jaime, and Michael Perez; grandchildren, Alicia Fontenot, Joshua Thevis, Dara Thevis, Zane Semar, London Dyer, Landri Dyer, Lainey Dyer, Garrette Perez, Kirsten Perez, and Owen Perez; great grandchildren, Bailey Fontenot, Layla Fontenot, and Lilliah Rae; siblings, Chester Britton, Elizabeth Smith, and Ralph Britton; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chester Britton, Ralph Britton, Micah Dyer, Joshua Thevis, Zane Semar, London Dyer, Logan Fontenot, Jose Cruz, and Garrette Perez. Honorary pallbearer will be Lance Lippmann.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Maurice Catholic Church at 9079 Hwy 62 N Orange, Tx, 77632.
