Rubin “Jerry” Jerrel Huff, Jr., 52, of Orange, passed away on October 10, 2022, at home.
Memorial services will be 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville. Officiating will be Reverend John Fortenberry.
Born in Orange, Texas, on May 18, 1970, he was the son of Martha and Rubin Huff, Sr. Jerry loved football, especially the Texans, and always had to wear his jersey to watch games for good luck. He was hilariously goofy and enjoyed nothing more but making people laugh. Jerry was a jack of all trades; he was a skilled handy man and was incredible at imitations. His favorite place to visit was the river or the beach, where he could enjoy the sun and water. Jerry loved kids, but especially his grandchildren who lovingly called him Pawpaw. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will truly be missed for years to come.
He is greeted in Heaven by his mother and father, Martha and Rubin Huff, Sr.; sister, Deborah Daugherty Flynt; and brothers, Robert Daugherty, and James Huff.
He leaves behind his children, Brittany Huff, Debra Huff, Tyler Roberts, Sierra Roberts, Madison Trahan, Zayne Trahan; grandchildren, Bryden Huff, Adalyn Huff, Lane Granger, Carter Trahan; sisters, Mary Singleton, Rhenda Edwards, Geraldine Steadham, Rachael Bussell; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a collection of ex-wives, whom he still dearly cared about.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
