OF Community Service class visit Human Society

Students in the Community Service class were tasked with developing and implementing community and service-learning activities. They identified service projects that would be beneficial, integrated their interests, abilities, and skills and decided to volunteer at the Humane Society of Southeast Texas. Students were able to tour the new facilities, get educated on the services the shelter provides, learn about career opportunities, and play with the animals. They demonstrated safety practices and appropriate grooming, appearance, and etiquette.  Students are pictured below with Mary Furby, Humane Society Representative, Mrs. Spears and Mr. Tremont, CTE Director.
