Government offices set holiday closings with no garbage changes

Christmas and New Year's are on Sundays this year which means garbage schedules in the five largest Orange County cities will run as normal with no skipped days.

The government offices have announced their holiday closings for the next two weeks. Though offices will be closed, first responders will work those days.

Orange County offices at all locations will be closed Thursday December 22, Friday December 23, and Monday December 26. For the New Year's break, the closing will be Monday January 2.

Bridge City City Hall will be closed Friday December 23, and Monday December 26. Regular garbage pickup routes will be run. Then city hall will be closed Monday January 2, with no change in garbage schedules.

Orange City Hall and offices will be closed Friday December 23 and Monday 26. The public library will be closed Saturdays through the holiday weekends. Waste Management will run the usual garbage pickup schedule. For New Year's city offices will be closed Monday January 2. Regular garbage routes will be run on the weekdays.

Pinehurst City Hall will closed at 10:30 a.m. Thursday December 22 and be closed Friday December 23. Offices will re-open on Monday December 26. For New Year's, city hall will be closed Monday January 2. Pinehurst has citywide garbage pickup on Tuesdays and there will be no change during the holidays.

Vidor City Hall will be closed Friday December 23 and Monday December 26 with regular garbage routes being served. Offices will again close on Monday January 2 with regular garbage pickup all week.

West Orange City Hall will be closed Friday December 23 and Monday December 26. The city has Piney Woods garbage pickup on Fridays and it will continue on the holidays. City hall has an extended New Year's holiday and will be closed Friday December 30 and Monday January 2.
