Mary Estelle Fisette, 88, of Bridge City, passed away on December 24, 2022, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Jack Comer. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Petrolia, Texas on December 31, 1933, she was the daughter of William and Vera (Crawford) Black. Mary was a woman of great faith and a member of Circle Drive Baptist Church in Bridge City, Texas. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. In her free time, she loved working on arts and crafts. Christmas time was Mary’s favorite time of year. She loved spending the holiday with her family, cracking jokes. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, but also an amazing woman. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, James Clyde Fisette, Sr.; her parents, William and Vera (Crawford) Black; her sister, Nancy Humble; and grandson, Jayson Fisette.
She is survived by her sons, James Fisette Jr. and wife, Tammi and Michael Fisette and wife, Jana; her daughter, Karen Fisette; grandchildren, Keith Fisette, Candi Cannon, Amber Jennings, Ryan Fisette, Jeff Fisette, Miranda Coulter, and Cody Fisette; her 17 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jimmy Black and wife, Katherine.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Fisette, Cody Fisette, David Coulter, Jordan Humble, Jamey Stone, and Ronnie Shugart. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Fisette and Russell Jennings.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Michelle Broussard for her love and care for JC, Mary, and the entire family.
