With five games remaining on the district schedule the Orangefield Lady Bobcats need probably at least three wins in the last two weeks to make the postseason. Three of those last five contests will be played away from Orangefield.
The Lady Bobcats split their two games last week. The first place and undefeated Kountze Lady Lions defeated Orangefield 75-31 on Tuesday. Greenlea Oldham led the Lady Bobcats with 8 points and 8 rebounds. She even had two blocked shots. Kaylea Gravett scored 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Orangefield also got scoring contributions from Steelye Franklin with 5 and Kendall Sullivan who had 4 points.
The results were better for Orangefield on Friday at Kirbyville. The Lady Bobcats beat the winless Wildcats 43-22. Gravett played a strong game scoring 11 points, making 3 steals, and pulling down 2 rebounds. Oldham was solid all round with 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Harleigh Rawls matched Oldham with 8 points and Kennedy Thibodeaux tossed in 6 points.
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats played their closest rival for the playoffs the Buna Lady Cougars this week on Tuesday. The Lady Bobcats play again on Friday at home against the Hardin Lady Hornets.
