James David Freed, 51, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, in Nacogdoches, Texas.
A visitation of family and friends will be held from 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm, on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Dorman Funeral Home.
James was born on Friday, April 23, 1971, in Nederland, Texas, to Suzanne Freed and the late Billy Dale Freed. He was a gentle and kind soul that enjoyed spending time with family and friends. James had a passion for music and recorded a gospel album, “Keep Me Jesus”, in his early 20’s.
He loved traveling and going on cruises with his family. James was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Preceding James in death is his father, Billy Dale Freed; grandparents, Adolphus Jr. and Mary Irene Adams, Elvis and Ouida Ward; uncles, Robert Johnson and Robert “Bobby” Freed; and best friend, Shane Gauthier.
James is survived by his loving mother, Suzanne Freed, of Mauriceville; siblings, Robert Daniel Freed and wife, Crystal, of Mauriceville, Sandra Lingenfelter and husband, Shawn, of Silsbee; uncle, David Adams and wife, Marlyn, of Toledo Bend; aunts, Carolyn Lunsford and husband, Robert, of Mauriceville, Martha Beal, of Teague; best friend, Mary Hughes and her family; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
