Phillip Brett Wagoner, loving husband, father, and Pop Pop made his way home early Monday morning, February 20, 2023.
Born April 18, 1957 in West Monroe, Louisiana, he became a resident of Orange, Texas. He labored as a rural carrier at the United States Postal Service in Orange for 29 years and then opened shop as The PC Dr. Phillip loved all genres of music (as long it was loud), gardening, computers, and the annual Lion's Club Carnival burgers, which he helped serve for over 30 years. He enjoyed work, helping others, 3:00 coffee, a good bbq, and family.
Anyone will tell you, he's the hardest working man they ever met. He was also a member of the Mauriceville church of Christ in Mauriceville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wagoner, mother Layla Wagoner, and brother Don Wagoner.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janis Wagoner; son Brett Wagoner and wife Mary of Orange, Texas; daughter, Sara Mendoza and boyfriend Chris Hammond of Orange, Texas; older brother Greg Thigpen and wife Barbara of Jasper, Texas; younger brother Bruce Wagoner and husband David of Orange, Texas; and sister-in-law, Janie Wagoner of Red Rock, Texas; and many other relatives, neighbors, and friends.
He was a proud grandfather to Landon, Brooklyn, Ayden, and Avery, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm.
There will be a short visitation before the funeral from 1:00-2:00pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
