Earl Joseph Angelle, 97, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on February 26, 2023, in Orange, Texas.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City in the foyer of the church.
A Rosary Service will follow at 10:30 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Father Ernie Carpio. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Born in Sherburne, Louisiana, on February 3, 1926, he was the son of Abdon “Pete” Angelle and Rosa Naquin Angelle. Earl was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and active in many charitable organizations. He proudly served in the United States Navy and Air Force before working as a Draftsman for Dupont.
He had a strong love for his country. Earl had a giving soul and a servant’s heart. He was totally devoted to Jesus and his family. Earl’s loved ones will go on to cherish their memories with him forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Abdon “Pete” and Rosa Angelle; wife of 73 years, Althea Joyce Angelle; and sisters, Delores Belaire and Genevieve Vidrine.
He is survived by his children, Judy Horlander and late husband Dennis, Michael Angelle and wife Barbara, Mary Moon and husband Jimmy, Gilbert Angelle and wife Mitzi, Lee Angelle and wife Connie Landry, Brigid Ferguson and husband Harvey, Thad Angelle and wife Candi, Mark Angelle and wife Connie Rigby, and Frank Angelle and wife Evelyn; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Phillip Angelle and Jimmy Angelle; and sister, Norma Cormier.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Angelle, Gilbert Angelle, Lee Angelle, Thad Angelle, Mark Angelle, and Frank Angelle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance at 200 West Roundbunch Road, Bridge City, Texas 77611; St. Henry Catholic Church at 495 West Roundbunch Road, Bridge City, Texas 77611; and Xaverian Missionaries at 12 Helene Ct., Wayne, New Jersey 07470.
