Jerry Alan Goldwire, 78, Orange

Jerry Alan Goldwire, 78, of Orange Texas passed away on March11, 2023, at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. Mass services only will be May 29th at St Maurice Catholic Church in Mauriceville, Texas.

Born in Brunswick Georgia on January 18,1945. He was the son of James Ashley Goldwire and Kathryn Mobley Goldwire. Jerry grew up with his brother Ronnie Goldwire.

Jerry joined the National Guard right out of high school and served 3 years before meeting Romain Goldwire. Jerry grew to be a jack of all trades. He worked as an insurance salesman, at paper mills, on offshore rigs as a technician, ran his own satellite installation business, was a dell technician, a credit card repairman for businesses, a Vizio repair technician, and a Rainbow vacuum salesman.

Jerry was an all-around upstanding Husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law, grandfather, and great grandfather who was loved by many. He never met a stranger and would attempt to brighten every one’s day. He was a huge supporter of people who needed him. He has been known to donate a 3-wheel bicycle, shoes, and clothes to a man in need. He also secretly donated money to a local store to help feed a local family.

He is preceded in death by father James Ashley Goldwire of Brunswick, Georgia, Mother Katheryn Mobley Goldwire of Brunswick, Georgia, brother Ronnie Goldwire of Brunswick, Georgia, Son Rudy Goldwire of Bridge City, Texas, Father-in-Law Edward Daville of Bridge City, Texas, and Granddaughter Priscilla Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Romain Daville Goldwire, Mother-in-law Joyce Daville, daughter Dana Hernandez, son in Law Rogelio Hernandez Jr, Grandson Josh Goldwire, Granddaughter Gloria Hernandez, Granddaughter Aubrey Goldwire, Granddaughter Breana Nicholas, Granddaughter Hunter Jeans, Grandson Keaton Goldwire, Granddaughter Kayleigh Fontaine, Granddaughter Braelyn Hernandez, and Grandson Xavier Hernandez. Also Survived by great grandkids Alexis August, Kiarra August, Giovanni August, Jaelyn August, Michaela August, Hollow Goldwire, Mavis Goldwire, Joel Goldwire, Matthias Woodruff, Malakai Woodruff, Malik Woodruff, Mary Jane Cruz, Ramona Jeans, Archer Jeans, Starleigh Duong, and Rudy Duong.

In Lieu Of flowers, contributions can be made to his surviving spouse Romain Goldwire.
