On March 23rd, 2023 Cecil passed from this earth to spend eternity in the presence of God.
Born in Orange, Texas on December 12th, 1954, he was the youngest child of Cecil Cleborn Scales, Sr. and Betty Sue Brannon. He grew up in the Scales family home in the Orangefield area surrounded by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. After graduating from Bridge City High School in 1973, he moved to the Houston area and began working in the banking and computer industries. Cecil found that he had an aptitude and interest in computer-aided drafting and spent several decades working in this field for a variety of companies in multiple locations throughout the country. Cecil loved the outdoors, photography, water skiing and hunting. Cecil will always be remembered for his kind nature by those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil Sr. and Betty, his sister Cherion (Scales) Shaban of Katy, Texas and his niece Shellie (Beard) Tichenor.
He is survived by his nephew Chris Beard and wife Kirsten of Montgomery, Texas.
Services will be held at a later date.
