OFHS Health Science class host guest speakers

OFHS Health Science classes have had several guest speakers over the last couple of weeks. Shelby Bryan, EMT, and Nathan Heuler, Paramedic, from Acadian Ambulance Service, and Lance Mendoza, CRNA with Anesthesia Associates, spoke with students about the education and career paths available in their fields of healthcare and demonstrated some of the skills used in their daily life. Also, Helen Simmons, RN, CDCES from Baptist Hospital Diabetic Education Department, spoke with pharmacology students about the different types of insulin and proper injection technique. We would like to extend a big thank you to these professionals for taking time out of their schedules to inspire students in our community.
