John Harold Stephens, 66, of Brookeland, Texas, passed away on May 1, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
A gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on October 12, 1956, he was the son of Harold Aubrey Stephens and Myrtle Stephens. John loved being outdoors, whether that be fishing or hunting. He enjoyed watching motor sports and NASCAR in his free time. John would often spend most of his time with his family and friends.
He also loved his job working as manager in the oil and gas field and really appreciated the people he worked with. John was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Myrtle Stephens.
He is survived by his sons, Matt Stephens and wife, Tracie, and Brandon Stephens and wife, Ashley; step-daughter, Kaylynn Will and husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Jacob, Brody, Ella, Ryleigh, Parker, and Graham; and brother, Gerry Stephens; as well as other loving family and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
