Judith Ann Storms, age 71, of Hartburg, Texas, passed away on May 13, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.
She was a beloved mother, and grandmother and she will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Friday, May 19, 2023, at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
Officiating will be Pastor Lynne Parker. Burial will follow immediately after at King’s Cemetery, in Hartburg.
Judith Storms was born on October 27, 1951, in Orange, Texas to parents R.C. Storms and Thelma Lois Plant. Judy graduated from Deweyville in 1970.
Judy was a woman of God, follower of Jesus. She was a devoted member in good standing at Faith Harbor Assemble of God Church. She served her church through being on the praise and worship team and would use her gift and talents on the piano from time to time and lead worship.
She also served as the “parish nurse” fulling her calling as a registered nurse. As a registered nurse, the epitome of a true giver, working the last 10 years for Compassion Hospice of Beaumont. She started as case manager then later became the volunteer coordinator, even once she retired, she continued be an educator to families for disease and end of life teaching. If you were lucky enough to know Judy, you knew her two greatest passions where, her grandchildren and her Christian music.
She also enjoyed her road trips/vacations with her brother Roy and wife Kathy.
Judy is preceded by her parents, stepfather James Plant, uncle, John L. Singleton, aunt, Mertie Faye Singleton, cousin, Helen Barnard.
Those left to cherish her memory include son Shane Coleman, and wife Karen of Sulphur La. Grandchildren, Cristian, Sofia and Greyson, stepmother Betty Storms of Starks, La. brothers, Frankie Basar of Vidor, Roy Storms and wife Kathy of Elmore City, Ok., sister Dianne Stanley and husband Andy of Starks, La., Aunt Bernice Plunkett of Hartburg, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
