Larry Joe Perry, 63, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 21, 2023, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Victory Bible Baptist Church in Vidor, Texas. Officiating will be Brother Carl Green. Born in Orange, Texas, on March 1, 1960, he was the son of L.J. Perry and June (Cambridge) Perry. Larry was a man of great faith and was a member of Victory Bible Baptist Church in Vidor. He was employed as a warehouse superintendent for Zachary at BASF Plant. During his free time, Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He loved to go on new adventures with his dear wife, Shirley, and liked to take photos of their sightseeing. One of Larry’s favorite ways to pass time was with his family. He especially enjoyed going on road trips to see his distant relatives. Larry’s grandchild, Logan, was very important to him and lovingly referred to him as “Paw Paw”. His loved ones will always cherish their memories of him and will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, L.J. and June Perry. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Shirley DuBose Perry; son, Chris Perry of Orange; grandchild, Logan Perry; siblings, Lee Perry and wife, Kelley of Leander, Texas, and Lori Hamilton of Orange; nephew, Steven Messer and wife, Ashley of Longview, Texas, Brian Perry and wife, Jona of Jonestown, Texas, Glenn “Buck” Hamilton and wife, Tiffany of Mauriceville, Texas; great-nieces, Chesleigh Hamilton of Mauriceville, Texas, and Claylee Hamilton of Mauriceville, Texas; and cousin, Maureen Loftis and husband, Josh of Cross Plains, Texas.
