Kevin Allen Sorrels, 30, Bridge City

Kevin Allen Sorrels, 30, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on June 2, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 31, 1992, he was the son of James Allen Sorrels and LaWanda Ann (Guidry) Sorrels.

Kevin graduated from Bridge City High School in 2012. He loved listening to music especially Shania Twain and southern gospel and went to many concerts. Kevin played baseball with the Adaptive Sports for Kids for over 21 years and loved playing with all of his teammates. When he was not playing baseball, Kevin enjoyed swimming in his pool. Kevin was a wonderful son, brother and friend who had a million dollar smile that would light up a room and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James E. and Virginia Sorrels, Mildred R. Jones, Lavon M. Jones, and Jesse M. McCarroll; and great-aunt, Geneva White.

He is survived by his parents, James and LaWanda Sorrels; sister, Patti J. Sorrels; aunts and uncles, Norma Sorrels, Rodney Jones and wife, Linda, and Debbie Lestage; cousins, Heather Swan and husband, Travis, Chad White and wife Rebecca, Anthony Lestage, Aaron Lestage, Austin Lestage, and Andrew Lestage; as well as numerus other loving family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be the coaches of Adaptive Sports for Kids.

Honorary pallbearers will be his fellow teammates.
