Ralph William Hebert, 85, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 29, 2023, at Vidor Health and Rehab Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Mr. Jeff Bell. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on March 9, 1938, he was the son of Adam Hebert and Willie Mae (Parker) Hebert.
Ralph served in the United States Army Branch. He also retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. Ralph belongs to The American Bowling Congress. He loved bowling, riding his bicycle and traveling. Ralph loved all kinds of animals. He was a wonderful person and enjoyed being surrounded by his loved ones.
Ralph will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Willie Mae Hebert; wife, Mildred Hebert; son, Gary Sheffield; sisters, Joan Pittman and Grace Breaux; and nephew, Eddie (Button) Higginbotham.
He is survived by his daughters, Sheila Hebert, Valerie Bailey and son-in-law, Charles Bailey, Kathy Solly, and Vickie Simon and husband, Edward; grandchildren, Colin and Breana Bailey, Karla Ward, Kasey Jones, Misty Smith and Chad Simon; nine great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; nieces, Dianne Gibbons, Debbie Khan, and Laura Wade; nephew, Lynn Chumley and Dorothy Berry; as well as other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Simon, Chad Simon, Charles Bailey, Colin Bailey, Sheila Hebert, and Breana Bailey. Honorary pallbearer is Mark Goble.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Vidor Health and Rehabilitation Center and SETX Hospice in Orange, to all of the health care professionals who took good care of Ralph during this time, thank you to each and every one of you. – The Family of Ralph Hebert
