Brenda Gail Hilliard, 61, Orange

Brenda Gail Hilliard, age 61, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas.

Memorial Services to honor Brenda will be held at 10:00 AM, on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Dorman Funeral Home.

Brenda was born on Sunday, September 24, 1961, in Orange, Texas, to Jo-Ann (Ashcraft) and John Laird. She was an avid West Orange-Stark football fan; Go Mustangs! Brenda was proud to have had season tickets and could be found in attendance at every home game, until her health would no longer allow her to go.

Brenda also enjoyed the thrill of ghost hunting! While her family wasn't sure that she ever truly believed, she certainly enjoyed visiting areas that came with a spooky story.

Brenda was an incredibly loving woman, who would give all she could, even if it was just a kind word of encouragement.

She will be remembered as a woman who deeply cared about those around her and will be missed by all who had the honor to know her.

Preceding Brenda in death is her mother, Jo-Ann Hunt Ashcraft.

Those left to cherish Brenda's memory are her beloved husband, Walter Brown Hilliard, III; son, Michael Zachary Hilliard; daughter, Jessica Christine Hilliard; sisters, Jo Ousley and Pam Fruge; numerous members of extended family; and many wonderful friends.
