Maurine Bell, 94, of Orange, Texas, passed away on July 13, 2023, in Port Arthur, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Lynn Ashcraft. Visitation will take place before the service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 24, 2023, at Providence Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas. Born in Jacksonville, Texas, on November 4, 1928, she was the daughter of George Middleton and Aucie (Moore) Middleton. Maurine was a woman of great faith and a longtime member of Circle Drive Baptist Church in Bridge City, Texas. She was employed as a service order writer for Southwestern Bell. During her free time, Maurine enjoyed quilting, caring for her grandson, and bowling with her late husband, C.D., in their younger years. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband, C.D. Bell, Jr.; parents, George and Aucie Middleton; and daughter-in-law, Trudy Bell.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Bell and Jimmy Bell; grandchildren, Chris Bell and Gary Bell and wife, Kim; great granddaughter Skylar Bell; step grandchildren Dale Driskell, Crissy Holbrook and husband Michael; step great-granddaughters Madison Norris and Krista Holbrook; step great-grandson Dylan Holbrook; and step great great-grandson Dean Norris; as well as Betty Bell; and numerous other loving family and friends.
