Stephen Paul Dronnet, 60, of Orange, Texas, passed away on July 23, 2023, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Officiating will be Deacon Melvin Payne of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange. Visitation will take place prior to the service at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on April 25, 1963, he was the son of Ernest Paul Dronnet and Jean (Romero) Dronnet.
Stephen was employed with Zachry Construction for several years.
He was a kind and compassionate man who would do anything for anyone. During his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, duck hunting, riding four-wheelers, and playing chess. Stephen was a member of the Orange Boat Club and loved to fish. He was big NASCAR fan and loved to watch the races. Stephen loved spending time with his family and will be missed dearly. His loved ones will always cherish the memories they have of him.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Paul and Rose Dronnet, and Alice Veillon; and aunts, Anita Little and Jenel Golden. He is survived by parents, Ernest and Jean Dronnet; daughter, Whitney Dronnet and fiancée, Manuel Savala of Beaumont, Texas; son, Nicholas Dronnet; grandchildren, Lily Doucet, Cyrus Vanwinkle, and Emmett Savala; sister, Sharon Hicks and husband, Roy; and nephew and godson, Tyler Bimle.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Edwards, Miles English, Billy Nation, Blake Breaux, Joey Suire, and Jeff Matthews.
Suits are not expected to be worn at the service.
Please come as you are, as that is how Stephen loved you.
