Rose Marie Russell, 80, Orange

Rose Marie Russell, of Orange Texas, was born on June, 28, 1943 in Lafayette, La.

She peacefully transitioned from this earth at home surrounded by loved ones on July, 31, 2023 after a long battle with dementia.

She had unwavering love for her family, especially her grandchildren, which she adored. Rose was an avid sports fan, and particularly loved the Dallas Cowboys and LCM Battlin’ Bears.

She enjoyed spending time at the beach, cruising around the world, and going dancing.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.

The service to honor Rose’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, with her nephew, T-Ray Vincent, officiating.

She will be laid to rest at Parish Cemetery in Orange, Texas immediately following the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Grace Marshall; husband, Ronnie Russell Sr.; infant daughter, Rose Ann Marshall; and brothers, Lawrence, Mike, James, and Pat Marshall.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Plunkett and husband, Melvin; daughter, Veronica Jaetzold; daughter, Lisa Woods and husband, Jason; son, Ronnie Russell, Jr. and wife, Kim; son, Roman Russell and wife, Jessica; her long-time companion, Gene Maulsby, and his son Art.

She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Brandy Farr, Eric Plunkett, Lacy Phillips, Derek Anderson, Alexa Guilbeau, Brianna Pettinger, Sarah Woods, Caitlin Woods, Addi Russell, Ella Russell, and 11 great grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Russell, Jr., Roman Russell, Derek Anderson, Eric Plunkett, Melvin Plunkett, Jason Woods.

Rose’s family would like to extend a special thanks to Harbor Hospice Home Health and Harbor House Hospice in Beaumont for their exceptional care during her final days.
