Carroll Wayne Durio, 80, of Orange, Texas, passed away on August 7, 2023, at his home in Orange, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Father Antony Paulose.
Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Orange. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on February 26, 1943, he was the son of Maxie and Wayne Bernard Durio. Carroll was a dedicated longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange, Texas.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force and later went on to work at Firestone, State Sign, West Orange-Cove CISD, the Texas National Guard, and as a computer tech. Carroll graduated Valedictorian from Orangefield High School and later married the love of his life, May, in Anchorage, Alaska in 1963.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maxie and Wayne Durio; his brother, Arthur Lee Durio; his son, Rodney’s late wife, Dianne Durio.
He is survived by his wife, May Durio of Orange; his children, Rodney James Durio and Ronnie James Durio; his siblings, Maxie Durio, Jr., and wife, Pat, Darrell Durio, Russell Durio and wife, Cindy, and Sue Ellen Skinner; his grandchildren, Justin Durio, Eric Todd and wife, Ashlee, and David Todd, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Durio, Ronnie Durio, Mike Durio, Justin Durio, Timmy Price, Nathan Nuss, and Matthew Lawson.
