Rodney Joseph Guillory, 84, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on August 27, 2023, Nederland, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Tommy Anthony. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in Orange.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Welsh, Louisiana, on June 16,1939, he was the son of Joseph Lee Guillory and Mattie Deville Guillory. Rodney was married to the love of his life, Margie for 60 years and was a wonderful husband. He loved his family immensely and would let his grandchildren dress him up often. He was a very friendly man who never met a stranger and would sometimes talk to them for hours. Rodney had many hobbies that he enjoyed doing every chance he got such as golfing, fishing, hunting, and camping. He also had a passion for sports and would sometimes play baseball in the house.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mattie Guillory; his brothers, Edison Guillory and Wallace Guillory; and his sisters, Elizabeth Meche and Beatrice Moore.
He is survived by his wife Margie Ann Kordish Guillory, his son, Anthony Lee Guillory and late wife Dana Lynn Guillory; his daughters, Connie Leigh DeRouen and husband Troy Keith DeRouen, Tara Lynn Briley and wife Joni Marie Briley, and Sabrina Ann Guillory; his grandchildren Ashley Ann Gregory and husband Timothy, Torie Raeann DeRouen, Cassie Leigh Campbell and husband Kory, and Brooke Jordan DeRouen; his great grandchildren Kason Cole Williams, Anistyn Campbell and Millie Leigh Campbell; and his sister Mary Ann LeBlanc.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kory Campbell, Troy DeRouen, Timothy Gregory, Chet LeBlanc, Daniel Miguez, and Darrell Montgomery. Honorary pallbearer is Kasen Williams.
