Hometown News For Orange County, Texas

United Way Community Food Drive

United Way of Orange County is working to bring the community together to support those in need. Food insecurity is defined as "the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food." Many of our local food pantries are experiencing shortages in supplies, which makes it difficult for them to serve. In just one example, The Salvation Army gave out more food in the first half of this year than in all of 2022. Our neighbors are hurting, but YOU CAN HLEP!

Please support our Community Food Drive by bringing nonperishable food items to one of our two drop off locations on Friday, September 22nd between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Drop off locations: The Salvation Army (1950 MLK in Orange) OR United Christian Care Center of Vidor (293 Wilson St in Vidor).

Benefiting Orange County Food Pantries:

• Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance

• Mission Office, First Baptist Church Orange

• Orange Christian Services

• The Salvation Army

• United Christian Care Center of Vidor
