June Elaine Chambers, 64, Bridge City

June Elaine Chambers, 64, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on August 29, 2023 at 4:35 p.m., at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on September 9, 1958, she was the daughter of Noble Hughes and Charlie Mae (Mooneyham) Hughes.

June worked at Home Depot as a Salesclerk and loved her job. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and crocheting. June could be found working on a new puzzle or playing games on her phone. She loved spending every minute with her family and being with her yorkie Harvey.

June was a wonderful sister, mother, aunt and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Noble and Charlie Mae Hughes; daughters, Diedra Lynn and Ashley Chambers; sisters, Dot Wiegand and Shirley Goodeaux; and brothers, Ronnie Gerald Hughes and Jerry Wayne Hughes.

She is survived by her son, Eli Chambers; stepson, Jason Chambers; stepdaughter, Shannon Chambers; sisters, Mary Hickey, Sue Anderson, Judy Hughes; brothers, Larry Hughes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and her beloved little yorkie Harvey.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
