Sandra Ruth Dobranski, 81, Orange

Sandra Ruth Dobranski, age 81, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 and is resting peacefully . A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Dorman Funeral Home. A visitation of family and friends will be held prior to services, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, at Dorman Funeral Home. Sandra was born in Orange, TX and was a 1960 graduate of Lutcher Stark High School. She later met Robert Dobranski while he was serving in the Navy stationed at the Orange Naval Base. They married in 1963 and raised 3 children moving between New York (Robert’s home state) and Orange, TX before his passing in 1992. She worked various sales and customer service jobs throughout her life and ended her work life as a letter carrier at the US Postal Service in Orange, TX. She loved to read, travel to tropical beaches, classic rock music and watching scary movies. She had a creative gift that allowed her to enjoy oil painting and quilting. She enjoyed watching the softball college world series and cheered on the US athletes during the summer and winter Olympics. She loved her family and friends and never met a stranger. Sandra is preceded in death by her husband Robert Dobranski, father JW Jackson and her mother Tressie Jackson, her sister Diane Gross, her niece Christine Provencher, her father-in-law Andrew Dobranski and mother-in-law Genevieve Dobranski and many other family members and friends that she loved deeply. She is survived by her loving children Phil Dobranski, Gina James and husband Alex, Jeff Dobranski and wife Michelle, her grandchildren Jordan Dobranski and wife Allie, Berkley Dobranski and fiancé Tyler, and Hannah Kirkland, her sister-in-law Andrea Dobranski, her niece Regina Mazzarelli, her brother-in-law George Gross, her nephew John Gross, and her cousin Carolyn Brister and husband Don. She had many extended family and friends that she loved dearly.
