Albert Ray Thomas, 74, Vidor

Albert Ray Thomas, 74, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2023, in Orange, Texas. Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Turning Point Church in Vidor. Officiating will be George Gau and Brandon Burns. Born in Orange, Texas, on September 15, 1949, he was the son of Gilford Wallace Thomas and Edna Lee Clark Thomas. Albert worked as a parts technician at Walker GMC for many years. He loved antiques and flea markets so much that he opened a store at the Vidor Flea Market called Fat Man’s Fleas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilford and Edna Thomas; and his brother, Gilford W. Thomas Jr. He is survived by his partner, Cheryl Culbreath; and his sister, Dorothy Kirkland.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
