Willard James Lanier, 84, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 25, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Born in Bazil, Louisiana, on February 3, 1939, he was the son of Percy Ray Lanier and Pharbia Gill Lanier. Willard was an outdoor enthusiast. His favorite hobbies were anything that would let him spend time outside, especially hunting, fishing, and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Pharbia Lanier; and his loving wife of 50 years, Sandra Lanier. He is survived by his brother, Rodney Lanier and wife Kathy of Orange and nephews, Christopher Lanier, and Matthew Lanier and wife Amanda, and great nephew, Cayden Lanier.
